This site is designed for people who work with animals. Whether you operate a pet grooming salon, a boarding kennel, or any other type of animal related business, we have designed this site for you.
To use this site you must be a registered member. Registration is free. If you have not already done so, please register your member account and return here for additional instructions once you have done so.
Now that you've registered, you can create a company in our database. The information that you enter about your business will depend on the type of business you operate. For example, if you own a pet grooming salon, you will probably want to enter client and pet information as well as keep an appointment schedule for one or more pet stylists. You would choose our Grooming Salon Management module to accomplish this task. If you operate a boarding kennel and don't do any pet grooming, then our Kennel/Daycare Management module would be for you. If you operate a business that does both of these things, then you would choose both modules.
PETSAppeal doesn't assume anything about your business. We have designed our software so that it fits your business - not the other way around. For example, if you operate a grooming salon and daycare in the same location, you can keep all of your records about that business location in one place. But what if you operate a grooming salon in one location and a boarding kennel in another? Simple! You just create a single company with PETSAppeal. When you do this, the software will automatically create your first business location in the database for you. When you create this first location, you will choose the module (Grooming Salon Management or Kennel/Daycare Management) that best fits the work you do at this location. After you have created your company and primary location record, you will simply create a second location - choosing the other module that best describes the work you do there. Confusing? Don't worry. This QuickStart page will help you through it every step of the way. And if you ever have any questions, you can always contact us and we'll help you through it.
Every new member of PETSAppeal gets to use the site free of charge for the first month of their membership. During that time, you may keep records for one business operating in a single location - just until you get used to using our software. After that, the amount you pay depends on the modules you use and the number of business locations that you register with us. If your business operates in more than one location and you want to jump right in and start keeping records for multiple locations right away, you simply purchase a subscription for each module that you want to use in each additional location and start recording your information. The first month at your first location will still be free however.
It's easy. To register your company, all you have to do is start a subscription. (Remember, your first subscription is FREE!) If you have not already done so, log in to your account and return here for additional instructions. After you log in, click here to create a new subscription. If you are creating your first subscription, you will be prompted to enter your Company name and to select at least one module (Grooming Salon Management and/or Kennel/Daycare Management) for your primary business location. That's all it takes to get started. You may also upload a logo file to our server if you have one (more about that later) but that isn't necessary to create your company record.
After you have registered as a member of PETSAppeal and created your company record, you are ready to start entering Client information in the database. Client records are stored in Accounts. Each account may hold an unlimited number of clients. For example, it would be common for a couple to register under the same account. Sometimes parents and children will be registered in the same account. You are free to configure your accounts in any way that makes sense to you.
When you first visit the Accounts page, you will perform a search to determine whether your client already has an account. If no account is found, simply click the "New Account" button and enter the name of your client in the spaces provided. Don't worry if you have more than one client for the account. Once you enter the first client, you will immediately be taken to the account detail page where you can add more clients to the account.
The account detail page is where you keep all the detailed information about your clients and their pets (more about this later).
